Otrdien, 23. aprīlī, Liepājas Olimpiskā centra volejbola zālē notika Pasaules Galda tenisa dienai veltīts pasākums, kuru rīkoja Liepājas Kompleksās sporta skolas galda tenisa nodaļas trenere Rasma Freiberga, informēja Kompleksās sporta skolas preses pārstāve Simona Laiveniece.
Atzīmēt starptautisko Galda tenisa dienu ieradās Liepājas valstspilsētas domes priekšsēdētāja vietnieks Salvis Roga, Draudzīgā aicinājuma vidusskolas un Liedaga vidusskolas skolēni, galda tenisa entuziasti ar īpašām vajadzībām, kā arī bijušie, esošie, topošie sportisti un svētdienas spēlētāji. Tā bija laba iespēja izkustēties, uzspēlēt galda tenisu un socializēties.
Klātesošajiem tika demonstrēti galda tenisa elementi, lai radītu izpratni par galda tenisa dažādību. Ikkatram pasākuma dalībniekam bija iespēja pārbaudīt sevi pie tenisa galdiem. Atsaucība pasākumam bija liela, un tas varētu kļūt par ikgadēju tradīciju.
